Agency Lake
Located west of Chiloquin in Klamath County, in Klamath
Basin, Agency Lake
is the large north arm of Upper Klamath Lake. The lake
is shallow and subject to high winds.
Oregon wildlife observation opportunities are
outstanding here. Visitors may get a chance to see
waterfowl, otter, mink, deer and bald eagles.
There is a Fishery which features trophy redband trout
fishing, and No Marina for this lake.
Directions: From Klamath Falls, north on Hwy 97 to
Chiloquin, west at Modoc Point sign for 4 miles and
follow signs.
Klamath Falls is nearby and is located
approximately
76 miles from Medford, Oregon and about 88 miles from
Ashland. Klamath Falls is the largest town in the
Klamath County, which is located in the eastern
foothills of the Cascade Mountains that borders Northern
California. It is the fourth largest county in Oregon
and covers over 6,150 square miles. Elevations range
from 2,750 feet to 8,938 feet. Klamath Falls is a high
desert area and has several mountains. |
