members of all ages in widely diverse careers. The

2007-2008 President's
Goals
Past presidents have built better communication
and fellowship among members, have increased
membership, have encouraged us to be great vs.
good by doing a little extra, have increased the
public's awareness of Zonta, have built bridges by
partnering with other agencies, and impacted our
community by improving the lives of others by
stepping beyond our comfort zone into areas we
have not yet explored.
My goal for 2007-2008 is to continue to do the
great things of previous Presidents with an
emphasis on Advocacy and it's meaning within our
Club by partnering with others in the community
known for advocating for women. By taking a
position in the forefront of advocating, we can
become one of the "go to" organizations for women.
The obvious and easy path is to advocate for
survivors of domestic violence and against their
abusers because it is a Zonta International goal
and we have several current members whose lives
are dedicated to that goal. We can and should also
advocate for women's health issues, drug issues,
homelessness and housing issues, literacy, and
education, etc. The possibilities are only limited
by the imagination and energy of our members! |
