The Canyon Creek Bridge in Canyonville could be mistaken as part of Pioneer Park's landscaping design rather than a functional pathway over the creek in Canyonville.
The bridge is just about wide enough for two people to walk through side by side. It hearkens back to a simpler time when picnics were held on the banks of the creek with the squeaking of swings in the background. Standing in the middle of the bridge, the swift current drowns out the noise from the freeway. The bright lights of the Seven Feathers casino are blocked by the wood panels and tin roof. The white exterior stands in contrast to the large dusty piles of gray gravel on one side and the park's green grass on the other.
