The city of Rogue River, just off Interstate 5, is nestled along the banks of the famous Rogue River in southwestern Oregon. Perched at an elevation just 1,000 feet above sea level, the city is in the heart of a region where three mountain ranges meet. These three ranges - the Cascades, the Siskiyous, and the Coast Range - meet in the Rogue Valley to create an enviable climate. Besides the obvious ways to play on the river - fishing, boating, sailing, skiing, and just relaxing - the area around Rogue River is full of things to see and do:
 
Palmerton Arboretum features fine collection of specimen trees and access to Evans Creek.
 
The city's other parks - Coyote Evans, Fleming, and Anna Classick - have facilities for horseshoes, tennis, and boat ramps.
 
Valley of the Rogue State Park (three miles away on Interstate 5) offers complete camping and RV facilities on the river.
 
The Woodville Museum features a notable collection of pioneer artifacts. The old town jail has been rebuilt on the lawn behind the Museum.
 
The National Rooster Crowing Contest has been held in Rogue River since 1953. Come around the last Saturday in June for an old-time small town parade and jamboree!
