Union Creek is located in the Rogue River National Forest, the area offers numerous outdoor recreational opportunities from world renowned salmon and steelhead fishing to 150 miles of well-groomed snowmobile trails. This popular recreation area is situated on the Rogue Umpqua National Scenic Byway (Crater Lake Highway 62), just 23 miles from Crater Lake National Park. Union Creek Resort is just 23 miles from spectacular Crater Lake National Park. Union Creek Resort is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. A favorite of such dignitaries as Zane Grey, Jack London and Herbert Hoover, and built on the Crater Lake Trail used by pioneers as they crossed the Cascade Mountains in search of a better life.

Nearby, Mt. Theilsen is off Highway 230 - approximately 30 miles north of Union Creek Resort. Trails go up to the top. Fantastic view for just a little effort.
